Abstract
Supervised physical training has a definite role in habilitating coronary patients in their physical and psychological fitness. The authors discuss physiological changes of the cardiovascular and peripheral muscular apparatus, stressing its positive action. They analyze technical aspects, limits and cautions to observe in an optimal rehabilitation program. The long term effects on risks factors and on the prognosis are summarized on the basis of the few studies actually realized.
