The rationale and the role of left stellectomy for the prevention of malignant arrhythmias

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

There is sufficient experimental and clinical background to provide a solid rationale for the use of left stellectomy in the prevention of sudden death. In 1983, however, this applies only to those specific conditions in which the sympathetic nervous system acts as a trigger for malignant arrhythmias or plays a major predisposing role.
