Abstract
From studies deduced from questionnaires, it appears that 50% of coeliac disease subjects have no difficulty in following a gluten-free diet, whereas the other 50% have considerable difficulty (in 10% of cases) or slight difficulty (40%); however, 40% feel better as a result of their diet, and many feel the need for greater general information and greater reassurance regarding forbidden or permitted foods.
