Abstract
The attachment of Trichomonas vaginalis to glass surfaces was studied in the presence of cytochalasin B, colchicine and vinblastine. Marked inhibition of adhesion was noted with high concentrations of cytochalasin B. Colchicine and vinblastine were without effect. These findings suggest that Trichomonas vaginalis adhesion is at least partially mediated by the extension of cellular probes, due to the action of cytochalasin-sensitive microfilaments.
