Abstract
Ictal deficient symptomatology includes scotomas, hemianopias, transient amaurosis. Amaurosis rarely occurs as first sign of the seizures and is rarely reported in literature. The lack of ictal EEG records makes diagnosis difficult. We present two cases with EEG recording of status epilepticus amauroticus.
