Abstract

Behaviours disorders are main consultation motive in child psychiatry. The consultation is aimed to diagnose ADHD in order to prescribe the appropriate treatment to children difficulties. In externalizing disorders, it is necessary to distinguish hyperactivity from psychomotor instability (reactive or inherent to personality disorder) that could lead to borderline personality disorders. We presented two cases reports originally from our practice and we shall discuss the diagnosis with psychopathological approach. In the first case, the child suffers from ADHD with major attention deficit disorders and in the second case, the child suffers from reactive instability linked to conflicting relationship with mother's. For both cases, we based our diagnosis on a complete psychological assessment (standardised scales, clinical interview, intelligence scale...).
