Abstract
A 29 years old woman with Rett Syndrome (RS) was admitted for a disordered breathing with apneas during sleep, begun at about 6 years of age. Respiration abnormalities during wakefulness, characteristic of RS, were appeared at 3 years of age. Polygraphic recording disclosed sleep related ictal apneas of fronto-temporal origin. During wakefulness the apneas were of non epileptic origin.
