N2 - Repeated treatments with p-hydroxy-d-amphetamine (pOHdA) result in it accumulating on the striatum but not in the brainstem. Agents which destroy dopaminergic nerve terminals (6-hydroxydopa mine), or release dopamine (reserpine, tetrabenazine, pimozide) from nerve endings, reduce the accumulation of pHOdA in the striatum. but do not affect its levels in the brainstem or plasma.
