Abstract

We studied some neutrophil functions i.e. chemotaxis, superoxide production and aggregation in 10 normal controls under resting conditions and after incubation with promazine (50-250 μg/ml). We measured concentrations of 6-Keto-Prostaglandin 1α(6KPGF 1α) and Leukotriene C4(LTC4) in the supernatants of neutrophil suspensions after phytohemagglutinin (PHA) induced aggregation. Promazine at all concentrations decreased neutrophil function and LTC4 release.
