Abstract

The authors believe that the presence of a doctor and particularly that of an orthopedician is required on the site of archaeological excavations to determine the conditions: race, age, etc. In the present case the remains of three lumbar vertebrae of the Bronze Age seem to show signs of ankylosing vertebral hyperostosis, described by Forestier and Rotes-Querol in 1950.
