Abstract
In our paper, we propose a relativistic and metaphysically neutral identity criterion for biological entities. We start from the criterion of genidentity proposed by K. Lewin and H. Reichenbach. Then we enrich it to render it more philosophical powerful and so capable of dealing with the real transformations that occur in the extremely variegated biological world.
