Abstract
Objectives: Considering that recent literature re-evaluated the technique of placing implants in an inclined position, this paper suggests a different method for lifting the lower wall of the maxillary sinus. The new technique represents a logical development of clinical experience consolidated in decades. Materials and methods: The protocol involves the execution of a bone tunnel by making a longitudinal fracture using dedicated chisels. Results and conclusions: Clinically, we can observe that the method allows to obtain good stability of the prosthetic restoration, an easy surgical approach, and very short recovery time.
