Abstract

A conditioning unit based on a Direct Resistance Measurement (DRM) scheme was developed and tested in the laboratory to verify its stability. Significant results were obtained that were corroborated via testing of a DRM prototype strain gage conditioning unit over a period of 180 to 145 days in a field situation.
