Abstract
Using the leukocyte migration test the authors studied the serum of polytransfused patients undergoing periodic hemodialysis to determine whether a positive test could be obtained in patients who had not formed leukoagglutinins and lymphocytotoxins. Of the 17 sera studied, 5 apparently contained no antibodies: no one serum inhibited migration of any test leukocytes. Twelve sera contained leukoagglutinins with or without cytotoxins and all of them inhibited leukocyte migration of reactive test cells.
