Abstract

A rare case of hepatic 'inflammatory pseudotumor' with review of literature is described. Radiological findings (ECO-TAC) such as clinico-pathological features are not typical, and differential diagnosis from liver metastasis is quite impossible. Moreover agocentesis cannot provide a sure diagnosis. The conclusion is drawn that the occurrence of this kind of pseudotumor must be known and histological intraoperative diagnosis must be done in doubtful cases in order to avoid incorrect therapeutical decisions, particularly in patients with operable cancer.
