Abstract
Previous studies of CsA-induced inhibition of alloreactivity demonstrated that there are wide interindividual variations in sensitivity to the drug. We have investigated whether or not this variability is associated with the individual HLA phenotype. We used the in vitro allogeneic mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) and autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction (AMLR), which are well established models for the recognition phase of allograft rejection and for cell cooperation between different lymphocyte subpopulations.
