Abstract

The authors present an autochtonous case of subcutaneous dirofilaris which came up in 1990. This is a pseudotumoral disease caused by nematodes of the Dirofilaria repens species. They have examined the following aspects such as the clinical report, the histological features revealed in photographs on seriated sections of the worm plus the epidemiological characteristics found in our country.
