Linee guida nel trattamento riabilitativo dei pazienti oncologico- ortopedici

The rehabilitation treatment of patients subjected to shoulder, hip or knee prostheses surgical application or to vertebrectomy and stabilization for neoplastic localization involves some additional problems for the physiatrist, which may be solved through his cooperation with the oncologist and the orthopedist. The great heterogeneity of this group of disabilities, resulting from the osteo-muscular resections required in each single case does not allow to make a precise schedule of the rehabilitation programme stages. Our experience has lead us to trace some guidelines for the treatment.
