Abstract

Despite the recent progress in the development of new therapeutic strategies and in early diagnosis, the prognosis of gastric cancer continues to be poor, with <20% of patients surviving at 5 years. With these perspectives, it becomes of big importance to identify factors helping to predict survival and/or response to treatment, to choose better among the available therapeutic tools.
