Abstract

A spectrophotometric method for the determination of the nitric oxide concentration in different solvents, based on the 1:1 reaction between NO and FePc(DMSO) 2, is described. While the method appears to be at least as accurate as the gas-volumetric procedure previously used to measure the solubility of NO in non-reacting solvents, it is comparatively much simpler and fast.
