Correzione della ptosi mediante sospensione al frontale con fascia temporale

The Authors present their experience in correction of ptosis with frontal suspension with deep temporal fascia. After having described the anatomy of temporal region, the different materials used in this surgery, they explain why deep temporal fascia should be preferred. 7 patients, the youngest aged 4 years with follow-up from 4 months to 5 years were included in the study. Aim of the study was to demonstrate that temporal fascia is the most suitable material, in that aestetic results obtained are satisfactory and the scar in the temporal region is well covered by hair regrowth. When appropriate tecnique is employed, few complications are to be expected (mainly hemorrhage).
