Abstract
Clinical trials in children and pregnant woman are a very sensitive for longtime disregarded area of investigation, which is more recently receiving increased and tailored attention by regulatory bodies and clinicians. To comply with the new exigencies the University Hospital "Burlo Garofalo" has established since 2008 a dedicated Unit where a Clinical Trial Quality team is active to assume the full spectrum of functions and procedure for a satisfactory monitoring and management of trials. A part of this scenario, the Hospital Pharmacy has established a database targeted to galenic formulations which are specifically (and often) used in the population cared for the Hospital.
