Abstract
Based upon a survey of 28 cases, the authors are considering various pathogenic, clinical and anatomo pathological aspects of neoplasia excavated from lungs, or cancerous abscesses. A particular stress is drawn to the differential diagnosis between excavated neoplasia and lung abscess, which is often difficult and unreliable. The authors describe their own survey, giving a specific account of some cases they considered most interesting as well as instructive.
