Abstract
Many papers have been written about burned hand treatment, perhaps because there's not an ideal one. We underline two aspects in this interesting branch of hand surgery. The first is about the use of full-thickness skin grafts in hand reconstrnction. They present the great advantage of poor retraction, and this is very important in hand surgery. There are two problems is their using: the first is the possibility for the graft to survive on its recipient site, the second is the availability of donor sites. Interesting researchs have been done above all on the second aspect. The second technique the authors analize is bone lengthening by external frame. They had good cases in treating congenital malformation, and during the last three years they used it in burned hands with good results.
