Abstract

Benign myoclonus of early infancy first described by Fejerman-Lombroso represents a paroxysmal phenomenon of the first year of life with manifestation in neurological healthy infants, during wakefulness, especially in exciting situations, characterized by axial shudder associated more or less with tonic, not sustained contractions of the upper limbs. The semeiology should not be confused with epileptic infantile spasms, also just from the clinical-semeiological point of view.
