Abstract

Anisotropic damage model for evaluation of load carrying capacity of artificial ligaments was studied. Three samples of artificial ligaments were subjected to mechanical testing. A sensitivity analysis of the maximum load with respect to model parameters exhibited the suitability of constitutive relation for numerical calculation of load carrying capacity of the artificial ligaments.
